Over time, as skiing has advanced, so have our ways of getting to that epic run. Although those full day hikes to the top of a mountain were awfully fun, there is now a better way. Heli-skiing is fairly self explanatory, one takes a helicopter to the top of a mountain where they are then dropped off. This is quick and easy, but extremely expensive. Instead of a 50-70 dollar lift ticket, one could pay close to 1000 dollars a day for heli-skiing.

A cat is slower then heli-skiing, but a little less expensive. Although they cannot reach the amazing mountain peaks like a helicopter, they can still reach some incredible skiing locations.
